After executing a search warrant on May 4, John P. Moynihan of Simsbury.was found to be in possession of multiple types of narcotics, controlled substances and firearms, according to state police.
The Connecticut State Police Statewide Narcotics Task Force-North Central Office, US Postal Inspector Office, Homeland Security Investigations-Hartford Office, and the Simsbury Police Department served the narcotics-related search warrant at 643 Hopmeadow St. in Simsbury.
Moynihan was taken into custody and transported to Troop H-Hartford where he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm (six counts), Possession of a Sawed-Off Shotgun, Possession of Hallucinogens, Possession of Marijuana With Intent To Sell, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Operating a Drug Factory, Possession of greater than one kilogram of Marijuana With Intent To Sell, Possession of Hallucinogens With Intent To Sell (THC Edibles) and Possession of Hallucinogens With Intent To Sell (mushrooms).
Moynihan who is being held on $750,000 bond, was arraigned on Monday, May 7 in Enfield Superior Court.
